To Everything There Is A Season

It's Lunar New Year, friends!  Gong Xi Fa Cai!  We hope your 2015 is off to a great start!

After several years of advocating for waiting children and helping many, many families raise thousands of dollars to help fund their adoptions, we have decided that it is time to "let it go, let it go!"  You may have noticed the numerous crowd sourcing sites popping up that are very successful with raising funds for various projects, including adoption fees. We feel like we have served our purpose and have been blessed to help so many families. There are so many ways to fundraise now and our hope is that you will help each other out in supporting families however they need help! Fundraising, kind words, dinner when they bring their child home (just drop it off because they will be cocooning!)
Feel free to leave a comment with your favorite fundraising site. GoFundMe, YouCaring.... you tell us which ones you love!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for following the blog, donating your dollars, supporting each other and being a family of the week!  We have loved being a part of your journey! Many blessings to you this year and on the next steps He has for you.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8King James Version (KJV)

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Welcome the Manea Family!

Hi Give1Save1 Family! Are you gearing up for the Holidays? I am looking forward to some turkey and pumpkin pie soon! After Thanksgiving we will put up our Christmas tree! (Do you put up yours before?) Our family of the week has some wonderful after the holiday plans! They hope to be traveling in January to pick up their son in China!

Tamra and Stanley Manea have seven children: Sean (27) and Seth (27), Jonathan (13) and Andrew (13), Kenny (12), and Mossy (7) and MeiMei (6). Mossy and MeiMei are adopted both from China!

The Maneas are returning to China to adopt an 8 year old boy who has spina bifida and bilateral clubbed feet. He was their daughter's foster brother and has been waiting for many years for a family.

The Carroll Family

Dani and JT are adventure seekers that never expected
to find themselves in the biggest adventure of their lives
to travel the world and bring home their son!

It has been such a journey of God working
miracle after miracle to lead them to one
little boy!

They are getting SO close and they are really, really needing
to find generous hearts that want nothing more than to help others who are adopting!!

Meet the Thurston Family

Meet Todd & Tobey Thurston!

The Thurstons went to India to help build a school; they ended up building their family as well!

Mahesh made a special impression on the Thurstons when they went on a mission trip to India to help build a school in 2011.  The visited again in 2012 and Tobey was able to go again in 2013.  Todd & Tobey believe God has called them to adopt Mahesh and they are touched by Mahesh’s humility and his navigation with a partially paralyzed arm. As he waits for his parents to navigate through the adoption process, he is practicing English.

Learn more about the Thurston's journey on their video.

You can be part of bringing Mahesh home with your $1 (or more!) donation.  Partner with them for donations and more information via their website.

Meet the Sell Family!

This amazing family is excited to be growing their family by one more little girl, but the best part is that she is the biological sibling to their youngest little one, who they just adopted 17 months ago! What an amazing thing to be able to welcome this sweet girl into their family, but as you can imagine, adopting a second baby so soon was not only a surprise, but will be financially taxing for the Sells.  Show the love this week by praying for this little girl, sharing their story, and donating a dollar.

Watch their video and hear how Leia joined their family, and how they found out about her little sister.  You'll also meet the rest of the family, and see the love they share.

 Aren't they amazing!

Head on over to this link to donate!

Meet the Hilleslands!

Meet Deborah and Brian Hillesland!

The Hilleslands are a blended family with 8 children. Their older children who are out of the home are Karah (23 yrs), Samantha (23 yrs), Tamra (21 yrs), Matthew (21 yrs), and Dane (19 yrs). Still at home still are Joshua (17 yrs), James (15 yrs),  and Johnny (8 yrs).

With 5 having left the nest and 3 still home, most families would be looking ahead to an empty nest. But Deborah and Brian know that they have more love to give! Brian and Deborah decided to adopt. As soon as they have the money to pay the referral fee they will be matched with two children between the ages of 7 and 13!

Can you help the Hilleslands raise the funds to bring their children home? We ask you to donate $1! Or if your fealing generous, why not donate $2, since the Hilleslands are adopting 2 children?!
